I had so much fun with Kara and Chris at their DFW engagement session. Part of their second outfit was forgotten, so we turned it into a two-part engagement session! We got to explore White Rock Lake in Dallas, and Marion Sansom Park in Fort Worth– two of my favorite locations!
I always love hearing how people met and fell in love, so hearing Kara and Chris’s story was no different. Words to the wise– a trivia night is not the best place for a first date. They both said it was loud and they couldn’t really talk, and on top of that the trivia was really hard when you’re trying to make a great first impression! Luckily, they had a second date, this time at a brewery, and the rest was history. The real moment everything fell into place was when Chris met Kara’s dog, Sadie. Chris got to see Kara’s heart caring for Sadie, and Sadie welcomed and loved Chris, which was a great sign! Chris later proposed at a lake that was really special to Kara growing up. (We had to do their photos at a lake to commemorate the occasion!) Of course, Sadie was involved, wearing a bandana around her neck that said, “Will you marry my dad?” Of course she said YES and her whole family was there to celebrate with them afterwards!
Kara and Chris, I am SO excited to celebrate with you in a couple short months! I love how laid back, kind, and in love you two are! I am so honored that I get to be your photographer as Kara is #becomingabattista 🙂
Enjoy a few (or a lot) from their two-part engagement session!
