Vow Renewal at Montclair Wedding and Event Venue | Kara & Chris

When I say I’m excited about a couple’s wedding, I mean it. But with Kara and Chris, I seriously have NEVER been so excited for a client’s wedding! The pandemic messed up a lot for a lot of people, but Kara and Chris were able to get married on their originally planned date. While it was a beautiful, special day (that you can relive here), it wasn’t the big celebration they had planned. So I mean it when I say that their vow renewal was very highly anticipated! They celebrated at the beautiful Montclair Wedding and Event Venue in Colleyville, Texas.

There were so many highlights from their vow renewal. Kara and Chris love their dogs. Like… LOVE them. They don’t refer to them as “the dogs”, they refer to them as “the girls” (in other words, the same way I refer to my children). They were sure to incorporate them with the cutest party favor koozies and beautiful floral garlands for them to wear. Other than finally getting to celebrate their marriage big, my favorite part of their celebration was the mother of the bride’s speech. She said that they had been talking about something when Kara and Chris disagreed on a decision that needed to be made. Kara’s mom said, “Chris, you know you can tell her ‘no’.” He responded with, “Yeah, but I don’t want to.” She said it was an affirmation that Kara had married the right man (because Kara’s dad couldn’t tell her no either 😂). She ended with a toast, carried on from a beloved family member who had recently passed, saying, “May today be the worst day of your life”.

Kara and Chris, it was so sweet to be able to celebrate with you twice! Seeing the love that surrounds y’all was such an honor for me to document. I hope these photos are a reminder of that love, and the love that you have for each other. Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Battista!
