It was 75 and sunny… the day before Whitney & Nick’s wedding day. Their big day arrived and there were snow flurries as we walked into the venue! (Texas weather, am I right?) It was still the perfect day, because if the 20 degree weather did anything, it highlighted just how loved these two are. I didn’t hear a single complaint from anyone the whole day! When I approached the bridal party to tell them that Whitney and Nick still wanted some photos outside, I was pretty sure everyone was going to hate me. Instead, they enthusiastically said, “Let’s do it!” and were total troopers. That is a group that clearly love Whitney and Nick, and would do anything for them.
Whitney and Nick’s January wedding wins the award for “Coldest Wedding Ceremony I’ve Ever Photographed”, but their day was so much more than the cold. They were surrounded with so much love and joy, and shared a first look that had me smiling so big (they were just so happy to see each other!). They faced the cold weather without a care in the world, because at the end of the day, they still became Mr. and Mrs. Jones!
Whitney and Nick, from your engagement session to now, knowing y’all has been so fun! I have absolutely loved getting to serve y’all as your photographer, and can’t wait to see what the future holds for you two! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Jones!
